Service & Information Centre

The UvA Service & Information Centre assists students, graduates and PhD students needing information, advice or support regarding their registration as a student and other matters which concern studying at the University of Amsterdam.

Regular opening hours

  • Our phone hours are from 9.00 - 17.00 (GMT + 1) on + 31 20 525 8080.
  • Regular opening hours of the Student desk are from 10.00 - 17.00 (GMT +1)

Service & Information Centre closed on several days in May, 2012

Because of national holidays, the Service & Information Centre will be closed on:

• Thursday 17 and Friday 18 May (Ascension Day)

• Monday 28 May (Pentecost/Whit Monday)

Student Services

Student Services offers several services such as student counsellors, university psychologists, information on studying abroad, career advice centre, and general assistance with completing student administration forms.

How to get there

From Centraal Station (central railway station) you should take tram number 4, 9,16, 24 or 25 and exit at tram stop 'Spui' (2nd stop).

From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the Service & Information Centre at Binnengasthuisstraat 9.

You can also take the metro (underground) and get off at stop 'Stadhuis/Muziektheater'. From there, it is about a 8-minute walk to the Service & Information Centre.
