Candidates

The University of Amsterdam attaches great importance to student participation. This participation is arranged by law in the form of of student councils. Student council elections are due to be held shortly.

Make a contribution: Put yourself forward as a candidate for the Student Council

Interested in entering into discussion with the Board of the University and having a say in University policy?

Then stand as a candidate in the Student Council elections. You can join an existing student party, set up your own party or register as an independent candidate.

Remuneration

Being a member of the student council is a job in itself, for which you receive remuneration. Please take into account that it is time-consuming work and you will need to be flexible. Naturally, it is also good for your CV.

Contact the Central Student Council or Faculty Student Council

Interested? Go to the website of your Faculty Student Council (Facultaire Studentenraad, FSR) and check out the existing parties. Ask the FSR what you need to do to stand as candidate.

Register as candidate: 10-17 April

From 10-17 April, you can register as a candidate for the Central Student Council and Faculty Student Councils.

To register, you need to fill in the 'consent form' (bewillingsformulier)and hand this in at the Maagdenhuis, Spui 21, Room HB 1.02.

This is possible up until 17:00 on 17 April.

The parties can submit the list of candidates at the same time and place. All candidates must have signed and submitted a 'consent form'.
