Blackboard

Blackboard is a digital learning platform that the UvA uses to electronically support the teaching process. Lecturers can place their learning materials online and exchange messages with students. Teaching activities that use Blackboard are organised in courses.
Using Blackboard
You can access Blackboard with your UvAnetID. If you log in to the ‘MijnUvA' portal you will have access to a number of systems including Blackboard, Student Mail and Studieweb. The lecturer or the faculty Blackboard supporter (see the Faculty Blackboard support tab) provides access to a course.
Use your student mail account to exchange messages.
Blackboard support
The faculty Blackboard support staff can provide support if you have any queries.
Blackboard is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The only exception is during the weekly maintenance window on Monday evenings from 18:00 to 22:00.
Since system maintenance may be carried out between these times, availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance is announced by means of a faults page which also contains reports of Blackboard-related faults.
