Special exhibit to commemorate the new library for Special Collections of the Universiteit van Amsterdam

The exhibit Amsterdam in the World – the World in Amsterdam marks the opening of the UvA University Library’s new building for the Special Collections. The exhibit provides an overview of what has been produced in Amsterdam over the centuries on the one hand and texts that found their way to Amsterdam from abroad on the other.

Great Dutch Student Championship in Amsterdam

After almost forty years the Great Dutch Student Championship will be back in Amsterdam on 31 May and 1 and 2 June. Competitive sportsmen and -women are invited to play in the teams for the Universiteit van Amsterdam in one of twelve sports: badminton, basketball, handball, fencing, rowing, rugby, squash, tennis, soccer, volleyball, water polo and cycling.
