Student email
UvA students can use an UvA email address via Google Apps for Education.
You have to activate this address via http://id.uva.nl/gogoogle.
You can open the webmail version of your student email in all common browsers. You can access webmail via: http://email.student.uva.nl. Log in with your UvAnetID and password.
Student email Google Apps
From 6 March 2012, the UvA’s student email will be handled by Google Apps for Education. This means that you can use your UvA student email address to access Google’s email functions, to create and share documents and to work with others online.
Between 6 March and 19 March, depending on the faculty in which you are enrolled, you will receive an email with information on the migration from our current student email environment to Google Apps.
Use of Google Apps is not compulsory: UvA students will receive an invitation to activate their student email accounts, with instructions.
Students that do not wish to use Google Apps will not be eligible to use a UvA email address (@student.uva.nl). If the UvA wishes to contact you by email, it will use the email address that you have specified in Studielink.
