Veel buitenlandse universiteiten bieden één- of meerjarige postgraduate- of masteropleidingen aan. Aanmelding voor de opleidingen neemt meestal veel tijd in beslag in verband met het uitvoerige dossier dat je moet overleggen. De deadlines voor aanmelding zijn doorgaans al in januari.  

Het is raadzaam om contact op te nemen met docenten op jouw vakgebied. Wellicht beschikken zij over internationale contacten en kunnen ze bepaalde universiteiten of opleidingen aanbevelen.

Op de Ploteus website van de Europese commissie kan je zoeken naar opleidingen binnen Europa. Het Fulbright Center geeft informatie over opleidingen in de VS.

Op de website van de IB-groep kun je vinden of je in aanmerking komt voor studiefinanciering.

Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are available for students from all over the world – including Europe – to take part in Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Courses and Doctoral Programmes.

These are joint study or research programmes offered by a consortium of higher education institutions or research organisations from the EU and – in many cases – from outside Europe. These integrated joint programmes include a mandatory study or research period in at least two different European countries. If the consortium includes partners from countries outside the EU, the "mobility tracks" offered may also include a period of study/research at these institutions. All programmes lead to the award of a joint, double or multiple degree recognised in the European countries represented in the consortium.

European students or doctoral candidates interested in an Erasmus Mundus scholarship/fellowship should consult the list of Erasmus Mundus Masters and Doctorates on the Erasmus Mundus website.
