Your thesis is valuable

Did you receive an 8.5 or higher for your thesis? Have you completed or will you complete a Master or doctoral study between 6 May 2009 and 3 May 2010? Then you can enter your thesis into the UvA Thesis Competition (UvA-scriptieprijs) up to and including 3 May.

Work in progress - Student Information System

The UvA is switching to a new Student Information System (SIS). In connection with these activities, any changes that you make to Studielink between 1 and 16 April will only be incorporated after 16 April.

MijnUvA in English and Dutch

English is the main language for many students at the UvA. Unfortunately, a language switch option (Dutch-English, English-Dutch) is not yet technically possible in MijnUvA . For the time being, therefore, MijnUvA has been made partially bilingual.

CSECL and IVIR obtain EU funding for research on digital content services for consumers

The Centre for the Study of European Contract Law (CSECL) and the Institute for Information Law (IVIR) have won a European tender for a joint research project concerning ‘the legal framework for digital content services for consumers'.

Prof. dr. Aukje van Hoek

As of 1 January 2010 dr. A.A.H. van Hoek has been appointed Professor of Private International Law and Civil Procedure at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Law (FdR).
