The Faculty Student Council (FSR) acts on behalf of students in consultation with the Dean about Faculty policy in general and student interests in particular. The Council has advisory rights in some matters and approval rights in others.

The FSR is elected annually by and from the students in the Amsterdam Law School. It has eight members, including the chairperson.
