Wanted: a Dutch or international student who voluntarily assists a Turkish international student during his semester at the College of Social Sciences, UvA. This exchange student is blind, very independent but will need some assistance in reading and preparing assignments.

Master anthropology conference 17 February 13.00

We invite all students interested in Anthropological research for the Master Anthropology Conference on 17 February 2012, 13.00. This event will be followed at 17.00 by the thesis price ceremony for the best Anthropological thesis written in 2011.

Lecture on how to quote and how to avoid plagiarism

On Thursday 23 February the Dean of the GSSS, Prof. Dr. Mark Rutgers, will give a lecture for new GSSS and UCP students on Plagiarism and Fraud. In this lecture he will not only focus on the differences between plagiarism and fraud but also on how to quote and avoid plagiarism.

GSSS Opening 3 February

On Friday 3 February from 16:00 onwards the Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS) officially opens the new academic year starting as of February 2012. All new Master's students starting a Dutch or English language Master's programme as of February 2012 are cordially invited to attend the official opening of the academic year.
