Library Skills Workshop

Published 23 January 2012

On Wednesday 15 February and Friday 17 February the GSSS/UCP organises library skills workshops in collaboration with the Information Specialists of the UvA library. The library skills course aims to enhance your information literacy skills and covers an explanation of the use of the UvA library catalogue, the use of several library databases  and the use of the UvA digital library system.

The workshop takes approximately 1,5 hours and students will have the opportunity to practice under guidance of one of the Information Specialists. The workshop is especially recommended to students who have none to little experience with digital library systems, but is useful to everybody who wants to find efficient ways in finding and organising information at the UvA libraries.

One group will not have more than 26 participants, and a minimum of 10 students can sign up for one of the groups at the GSSS/UCP desk as of Monday 6 February. The deadline for signing up is two working days prior to the workshop.
