Emptying the Udrive trash can
Published 1 February 2010

As an UvA student it's possible to save your files on the so-called Udrive. The Udrive can be seen as a separate part of the network drive which only you can access. It's possible to store up to 100mb of data here.
However, the Udrive trash can of many students is full. As of 1 February, the Computer Services Centre (Informatiseringscentrum, IC) will automatically empty all trash cans every week.
Documents deleted after two weeks
If you place documents in the trash can without emptying it, these documents will remain there and take up disk space. To prevent exceeding disk space capacity, IC will clear out each student’s trash can every week. Documents that have remained there longer than two weeks will be permanently deleted.
