Regulations governing fraud and plagiarism

Many study programmes at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) already have a fraud and plagiarism policy. As of 1 September 2008, the UvA-wide ‘Regulations Governing Fraud and Plagiarism for UvA Students' will come into effect, which means that uniform sanctions will apply throughout the UvA. For this reason, it is important to know exactly what fraud and plagiarism entail and what rules and practices you must follow as a student when taking examinations or writing a paper, thesis or essay.
