Application procedure for courses at the Faculty of Science

The application for courses in the second semester at the Faculty of Science started on Thursday December 1 and is open until Sunday January 8 at 24.00 hr.

Temporarily changed openings hours of the Service desk

Due to the transition to SIS the opening hours of the service desk will be changed temporarily .

Registration minor UvA entrepreneurship

Exams building A Roeterseiland moved

A large number of the scheduled examinations in building A, taking place from 8 August to 4 September, have been moved to other locations as a result of construction activities.

Application for courses at the Faculty of Science starts on Monday 4 July at 11:00am

You must apply for courses for the whole first semester of 2011-2012: periods 1, 2, and 3.
Application is possible until Sunday 7 August 2011

Limited opening hours during the summer for the Studycentre and Library at SP904

During the summer the opening hours of the Studycentre and Library at Science Park 904 will be adjusted. From Monday, 11 July untill Saturday, 27 August, 2011 the Studycentre and the Library will close early, during the week at 17:00 instead of 22:00 and on Saturdays the Studycentre and Library are closed.

New procedure ‘Registration for courses Faculty of Science'

Because of the increased number of students and the limited capacity of the Science Park Building, planning of teaching facilities and lecturers is becoming more time-consuming. For an optimal planning, the faculty needs to know in time how many students will participate in a course. Therefore, for all programmes in the academic year 2011-2012, the procedure will apply that students will have to register per semester. In addition the registration period will be brought forward to July.

The Graduation Days for the bachelor programmes 2010-2011 are scheduled.

M-track Entrepreneurship cancelled

The M-track Entrepreneurship (ACE @ Science Park by FEB/FNWI) will not be offered anymore to students who will start their Master programme in September 2011.

Attention! Changes in the procedure for registration at UvA

As of September 1, 2010, the rules for ending your registration as a student at the UvA are changed. Students can now directly unsubscribe via ‘Studielink’ itself but take into account results that remain to be obtained and your examination date.
