The student faction consists of members from the first and second year of the research master. Although one of the main duties of the faction is to organize drinks and other events for research master students and staff alike, we also participate in several meetings with for example the curriculum committee of the research master, where we can have a voice of advice in current and future matters concerning the programme, but also STudent Overleg Psychologie (STOP) meetings with factions of the other psychology departments at UvA. Additionally, we're in the process of building and maintaining a faction website, where students can find all kinds of information relevant to living and studying in Amsterdam in general, or more specifically, research opportunities withing the UvA, etc.
These are just some of the tasks we have set ourselves, but any new ideas are of course very welcome as well! The most important ingredient of the faction are its members. Therefore, if you would like to participate even more actively in (the development of) the programme, joining the faction might just be the thing for you.
