Programme Committees

Each University of Amsterdam study programme has a Programme Committee (Opleidingscommissie, OC). Half of the members of this committee are students and its role is to advise the programme director or director of education on various subjects related to education, such as examinations, teaching and examination regulations, arrangements concerning timetables and enrolment deadlines, and changes to the curriculum, mostly based on teaching evaluations . The OC also deals with complaints from students, which have emerged as a result of course evaluations.

Programme Committees are the representative advisory bodies that are most closely connected to students. As an OC member, you can contribute to improving the quality and content of education. The number of  OC members depends on the number of students in the study programme.

More information on the OC affiliated with your study programme can be found on your programme’s website.
