Enrolment procedure for new students

At the UvA, international students' applications are processed by the faculties' international or admissions offices. Admission requirements, application forms and contact details for each programme can be found on the programme pages.

Changes to enrolment

You can make changes to your enrolment using Studielink (see link below). The most common enrolment changes, including conditions and consequences, are as follows

Enrolment only per 1 September or 1 February

Enrolment is only possible per 1 September or 1 February. If your (re-)enrolment request in Studielink has not been submitted before these dates you can no longer enrol.

After your enrolment

After your first enrolment, an account will be created for you in Studielink, the Higher Education portal for the Netherlands. International students will only need to use this for re-enrolment (each academic year), changing personal data ,such as an address, in the Netherlands and terminating enrolment.
