Pre-arrival information for student starting in February 2012

Please have a look at the pre-arrival timeline before your semester at the UvA starts so you have an idea what needs to be arranged:

Pre-arrival timeline

  • 1 September 

    online  application deadline

  • 15 September

  paper application deadline

  • 16 November 

 housing application deadline

  •  November/December 

  you will receive by regular mail the UvA START magazine (useful and important information on studying at the UvA)

  • Between 25 November  -20 January

  you may receive a room offer by the UvA by email

  • (As of) 24 November

           Course registration starts. You will receive the UCP information package and your course registration form by email.  (useful and important information on studying in the UCP programme)

  • 9 December 

                  deadline course registration

  • 15 December

       deadline finalising registration as UvA student/application for student ID card.You will be invited by the EMBARK system to start this process and upload the necessary documents (identity page of passport e.g.) 

  • 1 February

   starting date of lease contract in case of UvA studenthousing

  • 2-4 February

   ISN Introduction period (organised by ISN: http://www.isn-amsterdam.nl)

  • Monday 6 February  start of classes
